Joseph Schuldice, a lifelong hunter who lived on Lieutenant Island, owned a cordage company, Boston Line and Service Company. In 1964 his generosity preserved over 300 acres of meadows and marshy wetlands on both sides of the Lieutenant Island bridge for the people of Wellfleet.

As an ancestor to Joseph Schulice, I made the voyage up the Cape to capture a moment with my great uncles plaque at the bridge at Lieutenant Island. We found the plaque in the stone just off to the west the road.
ReplyDeleteThe stone has been rolled and has caused to almost cover the plaque and make it awkward to read the “in memory”.
We would like to ask that the proper authority make a arrangement to adjust the stone back to its original position making the plaque again legible.
Thank you in advance for listening and we hope you can accommodate our wish.
