Wellfleet Historical Commission

Historical Commissions are Town Boards created under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 8D, with responsibility to identify sites and buildings of particular historic interest suitable for the protection of listing on The Massachusetts Registry of Historic Places. Local Commissions are composed of seven members appointed by the Board of Selectmen for terms of three years.
The Mission of the Wellfleet Historical Commission is:
“the preservation, protection and development of the historical or archeological assets of the Town of Wellfleet”.
